Yes he did hate abstract art. He had pretensions to being an artist, so he had strong opinions about art. There were a lot of things he hated. Jews, Gypsies, Blacks, retarded people, Communists, ..... he was very opinionated about a lot of things. If Rock and Roll had existed in his day, he would have hated it. Reply

Yes, Hitler (yimach shemo) hated Modern Art. He organized the largest attended exhibit in Europe, "Entartete Kunst" of what he termed "Degenerate Art". Volumes have been written on this. Only 6 of the 100 artists' whose works were exhibited were Jewish. Hitler was vehemently against Fraud especially his promotion of the art of children, the insane or retarded. Works of art had to comply with specific criteria, with renderings of the human body needing to be precise in meeting Classical form.
