Artist’s Statement: One of the mitzvot specific to Jewish women is challah. Depicted here is a small girl watching her mother make challah for Shabbat. She is learning and taking her first steps in understanding what it means to be a Jewish woman.

I love it! My favorite part? the point to where the mommy has her sleeves rolled up--just enough to get the job done, while dressed modestly, a perfect role model! (and you might be a graduate of Art Institute of Chicago, but I'm a Fashion Institute of Technology graduate...we all see the world through the eyes that Hashem gave us) keep up the great work!
