Dear Friend,
Is there a Seder in Bali? I’ll be doing the Seder alone; can you send me a printable haggadah? I am going away for Passover, and am not sure if and when I should search for chametz in my home. Which foods can I feed my pet during Passover? How can I make the Seder meaningful for teens? With so much suffering in the world, are we truly free during this festival of freedom?
These are but a small sampling of the thousands of questions our 25 rabbis and rebbetzins fielded in in English, French, German, Hebrew, Italian, Spanish, Portuguese and Russian over the days leading up to Passover.
Before Passover, it is customary to ensure that everyone has the basic necessities to celebrate the holiday and where to go for the Seder. We try our best to accomplish just that, helping to put our constituents in touch with local Chabad centers and other local Jewish resources, often making late-night calls to ensure that everyone has what they need.
The team remained on active duty 24/6 up to the last few minutes before Passover, standing by and assisting thousands of people from all over the world with their Passover-related questions.
Many of the answers can be found in our Passover Q&A section. I invite you to look through the responses, as well as to send in your questions, both Passover- and non-Passover-related. It will be our pleasure to respond.
With continued blessings for a kosher and happy Passover,
Chani Benjaminson,

If one is spiritually focused the love of our Great Creator becomes apparent. It becomes an act of devotion and stewardship to nurture the body and life we have been gifted so that we can better use it to serve and participate in the healing others. This would be best understood as nourishment and sharing...... Far different from hoardings or selfishness which can easily occlude sensitivity, compassion, ability to see .To see is to reach out and participate givingly in the great cycle of G---'s abundance. It is a wellspring of joy and rejuvenation!
I am not sure that my comment was printed ( at least I did not see it) But once again I want to thank Chabad for the extraordinary work that you do to make sure people have a chance to keep mitzvot and become closer to Hashem and make people aware of their Judaism.
May you go from strength to strength and continue in your holy works for many years to come. Yehudit Spero Bet Shemesh , Israel
Chabad will bring Moshiach. Chabad has done more for the Jewish people than any other group I can think of. May G-d give you continued strength . You are an inspiration to all people everywhere.
Living in a world where JEWS are discriminated on since I was young, it is a pleasure to see a site like yours. thank you for making me feel good.
As far as 'being spiritual and selfish..." I think we should express ourselves and act "spiritual and cautious!" There are too many people out there nowadays who just want to take advantage and live off others and they try to make them feel "guilty" if one doesn't share oneself or their possessions. Our spirituality is ours and our mitzvot is to be done to the real needy not to organizations who want to have poor people so that they can have a job or keep busy!
Same goes for orphanages whose children have parents who are abused, not helped, rejected, drugs are provided to them easily and alcohol is cheaper than food itself! Moreover, they are not dead! This is a vicious circle without end because non-profit organizations get away without paying taxes, so do church properties. However, for them to survive, they need victims! For the common people like us, of course we have to act selfish many times, unless we want to end up being in the other end where we'll need someone to help us.
This year 5774, has been my very first time that I held a Seder at home (not converted.) I didn't know I could pull it through until the day before the Erev when I started buying the groceries for our meal, my two sons and myself. Cooked a Peruvian lamb stew to use the shank bone and we had it for dinner. Read my Haggadah and my sons wondered about the meaning of the egg, which was not in there but I got in the internet in my cell phone, found out about it and they were content. It was not a complete success but must say it was not a complete disaster either. I became more aware of this when I attended a second night Seder at a temple close by with whom I had signed up thinking I could not do it at home. For someone alone in Bali - have been there and the locals are all faithful muslims, I would recommend he invites friends even if they are of different religions who would accept his/her invitation and expose them to a Seder which would be as meaningful as having it with other jews.
Thank you
