Acharei: Anticipating Redemption

Gratitude for the Blessed Hope I am thankful that Chabad.org is around to bring to us expositions on Moshiach and his coming. Signs of the times and Moshiach's coming are everywhere but none so prominent as Israel back, at least partially, in the land promised to Abraham, Isaac and Jacob. Rabbi Freeman, Rabbi Sacks and the beloved Rebbe, of righteous memory have enlightened much and many. We are told in this article, the very ether will be filled with awareness of G-d's presence, as was the Garden in the beginning. Does this mean that Moshiach will be G-d in human form? Or just the permeation of the Glory as in the wilderness out of Egypt? Will Moshiach be followed as Moses was followed or will he be worshipped as G-d? Reply

For us jews it is of most importance to be aware of that world of G-d within that connect all of us, and lay down the sword between the different tribes of jews, secular and religious alike. A sword that do not really belong in the beit hamikdash. May We all be able to feel the peace and glory of G-d.

To be personally redeemed means to apply the same global yearnings and ideals to our own “micro” selves. Personal redemption means that our own little world should harbor no more conflict, jealousy or resentment. It means nurturing an outlook that engenders love inside of our selves toward all of G d’s creations. And a state of mind in which we are constantly aware of G d’s presence in your life. Reply

Torah and "Feelings" Hi, my name is Simon Valente, I've been a fan of Torah more than 30 years. It struck me the other day the importance the roll feeling (our feelings) play. In fact, when viewed from a perspective of feelings it takes on a whole new dynamic. Adam "felt" ashamed. Why so downcast Cain? Be kind. Love and forgive, do not envy, how would one feel after stealing? etc etc. I wonder if one of the things Torah has to teach us is that this place where we live, his wonderful so called Earth, is a place that responds to our "feelings" Where are you Adam? I know this is a bit off subject and this is the first time I've posted here, but.... can you see where I'm coming from. Is it not our "feelings" that somehow influence our future and Torah is teaching us all about that? There is so much energy in feeling. It may seem obvious to you but for me its a quantum shift, a whole new angle on Torah. FxT=F Feelings times (x) Time = Future. Big Love and well wishes.... Simon Reply

As an Italian by birth, who was adopted a raised Jewish, I am so very thankful for the insightful emails I receive daily from Chabad.org
I find them enlightening and always food for thought. I am excited about the coming Passover and looking forward to my week making Matzah bri (sorry about the spelling, but I do use schmaltz, which makes it extra good!.
