| An author whose book draws on the letters of the Lubavitcher Rebbe will visit Bondi this month, in an evening of growth and healing offered to the community targeted in the December terrorist attack. Rabbi Levi Shmotkin, author of Letters for Life: Guidance for Emotional Wellness from the Lubavitcher Rebbe, will appear at an event hosted by Chabad of Bondi on Wednesday July 29. The evening will include a talk, a signing of a newly adapted Sydney edition of the book, and musical accompaniment by Chazan Menachem Feldman. |

| Chabad has started a campaign to fight antisemitism with what some might think is an unusual message: joy. “Born to Be a Yid” billboards greet commuters in New York daily. Eighty thousand see a billboard showing two laughing Jewish children at the Third Ave Bridge entrance to Manhattan, and 70,000 see another featuring a Jewish couple under the chuppah overlooking the Staten Island Ferry Terminal. Other billboards are planned for Times Square and Florida. The Rebbe taught this decades ago. The way you fight darkness is with light.” |
